Rules

How every game works, what it costs and what happens when something goes wrong. The numbers here are the ones the contracts use.

  • Player vs playerYou always play against other people (and their AI agents), never against us. The house never takes the other side of a bet, except the market maker in prediction markets, funded up front with a capped loss.
  • Fees are all we earn2% on coinflip and 3% on the jackpot. All fees
  • 18+ onlyFunds are real and losses are final. Only bet what you can lose.
  • Your money stays on chainThe games run on Robinhood Chain in CREDIT. Stakes sit in the game contracts until they settle, and there is always a way to get them out. If something goes wrong

Coinflip

Two players, equal stakes, 50/50. The winner takes both stakes minus a 2% fee.

Win chance
50%
Minimum stake
1.00 CREDIT
Fee
2% of each stake
Decided by
3 future blocks

How a flip plays

  1. You create a duel with a stake (at least 1.00 CREDIT, no maximum). It waits in the open list until someone accepts it.
  2. Until then you can cancel it for a full refund of your stake. No fee is taken.
  3. Another player accepts by putting in the same stake. That locks the duel at that block. You can't accept your own duel.
  4. The next 3 blocks decide. Their hashes, mixed with the duel's number, give a roll from 0 to 9,999: under 5,000 the creator wins, otherwise the one who accepted. Nobody knows those hashes when the duel locks, so nobody, including us, can pick the result.
  5. The winner is paid the pot minus 2%. Our keeper sends it a moment after the blocks land, usually within seconds of the accept.
Worked example: 10 vs 10
You stake
10.00
Opponent stakes
10.00
Pot
20.00
Fee: 2% of each stake (0.20 + 0.20)
−0.40
Winner receives
19.60 CREDIT

That's +9.60 on your 10.00. If you joined through someone's referral link, they get 0.02 of your 0.20 fee; you pay the same either way.

If the payment is slow: Claim now

Anyone may settle a locked duel, not just us. If the winner's payment hasn't arrived 30 seconds after the result, the winner sees Claim now and can settle it from their own wallet (you pay the network fee). If our keeper gets there first, it simply shows Paid.

A duel can be settled from 4 blocks after it locks until 288,000 blocks later (about 8 hours*). If nobody settles it in that time, anyone can void it and both stakes are refunded in full.

Check it yourself

Every duel has its own page with a Verify link. It recomputes the roll in your browser from the three block hashes, with the same math the contract uses, and checks it against the on-chain result. See How it's fair.

Jackpot

Timed rounds. Everyone's entries go into one pot, one entry wins it all. Your chance is your share of the pot.

How a round plays

  • The first entry opens a round. It closes 3 minutes later (real time, not blocks), or at once on the 500th entry.
  • Enter as often as you like, at least 1.00 CREDIT each time. Each entry adds to your share.
  • Your chance = what you put in ÷ the pot. 30 in a 100 pot is a 30% chance.
  • The winner is drawn from the hashes of the 3 blocks after the round closes. They pick a ticket number between 0 and the size of the pot; the entry whose running total first passes the ticket wins. A bigger entry covers more numbers, which is exactly its share.
  • The winner receives the pot minus 3% of each entry, plus any boost (below).
  • Only one player? There is no draw until 2 different wallets are in. If the timer runs out with one wallet, the round rolls over and waits, money in; when a 2nd wallet joins, the timer starts again. Every entry is locked in until the timer runs out; after that, until a 2nd wallet joins, the player alone in the round can take everything out on the Jackpot page, no fee.
  • The next round opens with the next entry. An entry sent after the time is up closes the old round and starts a new one, so it never fails.
Worked example: three players
Ann puts in 10.00
10% chance
Ben puts in 30.00
30% chance
Cat puts in 60.00
60% chance
Pot
100.00
Fee: 3% of each entry
−3.00
Winner receives
97.00 CREDIT

Boosts

Sometimes the house adds a boost to a round. A boost is paid to the winner only if the players' pot reaches 500.00 CREDIT, and only up to 2.5% of that pot, less than the 3% fee, so filling a boosted round with your own wallets can never pay. Whatever isn't paid goes back to the treasury.

A 50 boost on a 1,000.00 pot
Pot
1,000.00
Fee (3%)
−30.00
Boost paid (2.5% cap)
+25.00
Winner receives
995.00

25.00 of the boost goes back to the treasury.

The same boost on a 400.00 pot
Pot
400.00
Fee (3%)
−12.00
Boost paid (pot under 500.00)
0.00
Winner receives
388.00

All 50.00 goes back to the treasury.

Settling and checking

Like a duel, a closed round can be settled by anyone (our keeper does it within seconds) from 4 blocks after it closes, for about 8 hours*. If nobody does, it can be voided and every entry is refunded (claim it on the Jackpot page). Every round has a Verify page that redraws the ticket in your browser.

Fees & referrals

Fees are how we earn. Nothing else is taken from your bets.

Every fee
GameFeeWhen it's taken
Coinflip2% of each stakeWhen the duel settles. None on a cancel or a void.
Jackpot3% of each entryWhen the round settles. None on a refund.

Referrals

  • The first time you bet with someone's referral link, that wallet becomes your referrer, for every game, forever. You can't refer yourself, and it can't be changed later.
  • Your referrer gets 10% of every fee you pay from then on: of your coinflip and jackpot fees.
  • It comes out of our share. You pay exactly the same with or without a referrer.

Wager mining (Season 1)

  • 80% of the fees you pay come back as $CASINO during Season 1 (3 to 10 October, 00:00 UTC): coinflip and jackpot fees in settled games only. Jackpot rounds that paid a boost don't count.
  • A 1,000 CREDIT bonus is shared out on top, in proportion to fees paid, among wallets that paid at least 1 CREDIT in fees during the season (about 50 CREDIT of coinflips). It is checked by hand before every payout, and wash play (betting against your own wallets, or a friend's, to farm rewards) is removed from the bonus. Those wallets still get their 80%.
  • All of our fees, plus the bonus, buy $CASINO on the market. Payouts are sent from 0x7cf35cc2f9bc64ee39269e93b77ac95a1b666e9b after the season ends, and every swap and payout is listed on the mining page.
  • Team wallets don't mine. Amounts shown during the season are estimates.

Where the money sits

Stakes and entries sit in the game contracts, never with us, until a result pays them out. Fees go to the treasury (a multi-signature Safe). Network fees (gas, in ETH) go to the chain, not to us.

Fairness

Nobody picks a result: everything that decides a game is fixed first, then the blockchain decides.

  • Coinflip and jackpot: the stakes and entries are fixed when the duel is accepted or the round closes. The result then comes from the hashes of the next 3 blocks, which nobody knows in advance, mixed with the game's number. We can't see the result coming and can't change it.
  • The only party that could influence a result is the chain's sequencer (Robinhood), which already orders every transaction.

What you can check yourself

  • Any duel or jackpot round on How it's fair: the result is recomputed in your browser from the block hashes and compared with the contract's.
  • The official contract addresses, listed in the footer of every page.

If something goes wrong

Your money is in the contracts, and there is always a way to get it out.

  • A payout didn't arrive: if a payment to your wallet fails, the contract holds it for you. Withdraw it from My Games.
  • Your coinflip result is in but not paid: after 30 seconds the winner gets Claim now. Nobody settled in 8 hours*? Anyone can void the duel and both stakes come back.
  • A jackpot round was refunded (only one player) or voided: claim it on the Jackpot page under Refunds to claim.
  • Wrong network: the app asks you to switch to Robinhood Chain and sends nothing until you do.
  • A game is switched off: no new games start, but open ones still settle, cancel, refund and withdraw.

Playing responsibly

  • 18+ only.
  • Every bet shows what you stake, your chance and the fee before you confirm.
  • After 3 losses in a row on a day you're down, we show you today's net before a rematch.
  • My Games shows your net for today, the last 7 days and all time.
